Are Don and PETA BFFs? Why he doesn’t get his fish on

You wouldn’t think Don and PETA would be BFF’s, but turns out they’ve got something in common: Both believe in the credo espoused in Disney’s Finding Nemo-“Fish are friends, not food.”
While PETA has launched a new campaign to get people to stop fishing, Don has horror stories of his own.
It stems from the time his father took him fishing as a kid and forced him to catch about 50 blue gill on a trip to South Dakota, “Then he made me murder all these fish. All these fish are still alive. He made me cut all their heads off, we had to go through their stomachs,” Don recounted for the Ron and Don Nation. “And then he could tell that I was really uncomfortable with it, so he put them in my hands and made me hold on to the fish heads.”
Don says he hasn’t eaten a fish since. “I think it is murdering fish and I think it has to stop. And thank god now 39 years later PETA is on my side.“
Suffice it to say Ron doesn’t agree (although technically he hasn’t committed murder recently, despite multiple fishing trips, because he and buddy Charles keep coming up empty.)
