The U.S. Navy’s precision flight team, the Blue Angels, had to cancel its Saturday performance at Seafair, due to high winds.

The Boeing Seafair Air Show was one of several aviation-related events scheduled over Lake Washington Saturday.

The Blue Angels were supposed to perform at 3:30 p.m.

Seafair officials said that safety is the event’s highest priority.

Event organizers said they appreciated the public’s patience and understanding and looked forward to resuming Seafair weekend programming on Sunday.

The airshow was part of series of demonstrations scheduled for this weekend at the Seafair hydroplane race course that were to include displays by civilian pilots, vintage aircraft, and parachute demonstrations.
