While Gov. Inslee has ordered everyone in Washington to stay home except for essential trips, restaurants are still able to fulfill takeout and delivery orders. Many restaurants are offering free delivery options.

Each restaurant is allowed to choose whether to remain open and alter their business structure or close entirely, so check the website of your favorite spot before ordering. You can also call a restaurant directly to ask whether they use a delivery service or provide the service themselves.

Doordash, Postmates, and UberEats are popular delivery services that partner with various restaurants to deliver food to your door. Many companies are offering “contact-free” delivery, allowing for appropriate distance between you and the delivery person. In many cases, you can add delivery instructions and tell the driver where to leave your food.

Be aware that not every service delivers to your address. Enter your zip code to see what’s available in your area.

(Bonus points if you order for your grandparents, a neighbor, a former coach, your favorite teacher, etc.)

Caviar

From the Caviar website:
Caviar is an all-in-one food ordering platform that connects diners with the best local and independent restaurants, via convenient delivery, pickup, or catering.

DoorDash connects you with the best nearby restaurants. Use the DoorDash website or app to browse eligible restaurants. Order and securely pay online and your food is on the way! You can even track your delivery right to your door. Getting your favorite foods delivered is that easy.

GrubHub

From the GrubHub website:
Grubhub helps you find and order food from wherever you are. How it works: you type in an address, we tell you the restaurants that deliver to that locale as well as showing you droves of pickup restaurants near you. Want to be more specific? Search by cuisine, restaurant name or menu item. We’ll filter your results accordingly. When you find what you’re looking for, you can place your order online or by phone, free of charge.

Postmates

From the Postmates website:
Maybe you need some Ben & Jerry’s, popcorn, or pad thai to get you through. Whatever it is, from tacos to Titos, textbooks to MacBooks, Postmates is the app that delivers — anything from anywhere, in minutes.

Instructions from UberEats website:
Order Uber Eats two ways:
