A message to the cowards at the UW protest

I absolutely have to address what went on at the University of Washington last weekend outside an appearance of Milo Yiannopoulos. What happened at that UW protest is an obscenity.

And I want to be clear to the black masked, squirrely, little cowards among the crowd in Red Square – Don’t you ever try to block my access to peaceable assembly.

I’m not alone in this thought. We’re done with this. One day or another, you are going to run up against the wrong people for blocking peaceful assembly. You’ve already caused the shooting of a man, you cowards.

Thank God more people weren’t seriously hurt.

At least UW officials still allowed Yiannopoulos to speak. Many other universities would have caved in. No university should support people blocking peaceful assembly, free speech, or someone from expressing their viewpoint.

This was precipitated by the police because they did not go in and remove the evident trouble makers. And the minute those marchers blocked the entrance to the event they should have been dispersed by the police.

Mayor Murray and Seattle City Council, you have allowed chaos like what happened at the UW protest; you encouraged this situation and you coddled these little baby fascists.

Seattle Police, understand, there are a lot of us who are responsible, law abiding folks and we’re not going to have our peaceable assembly shut down by these clowns. We would prefer to have you remove them. Either way, I am going in to the event.
