My first computer was an Apple II-How Steve Jobs changed our lives

His legacy is unmatched. From the Mac to the iPhone, Steve Jobs unique vision revolutionized everything from information to music. In fact, many people learned of his death on their iPhones. But it was his first invention with friend Steve Wozniak in a North California garage that inspired so many, including Ron and Don.

“I remember so clearly being in junior high, kind of I think like everybody at that age you don’t know where you’re going to fit in in the world. And me and my buddy Mike Shaeffer discovered they had just bought some Apple II computers,” says Ron.

Ron says going into that lab was “something that excited me and I fell in love with Apple products. It inspired me.”

Wired Magazine produced a great retrospective of Jobs career and the amazing successes that included a detour after he was fired by the company and went on to found Pixar Studios, which pioneered computer animation with the game changing film “Toy Story.”
