Pierce County Sheriff’s Office PIO Ed Troyer doesn’t usually go on The Ron and Don Show to talk about Most Wanted cases. But Troyer said the department really needs the public’s help in a manhunt of Matthew Weaver that started on Aug. 31.
On Aug. 17, Matthew Weaver, the mother of his children, and their three young kids were traveling in a car when Weaver became enraged, according to the sheriff’s department. Weaver reportedly displayed a gun and fired multiple shots through the car windows and the roof of their car while it was moving. Weaver allegedly grabbed the victim’s hair and hit her face with a coffee mug, causing the victim to drive off the road and crash. The children, ages 2, 4, and 9, were in the vehicle throughout the assault.
