Forget bikini baristas. The big buzz around the web this
week is the “hotdog hooker.”

Catherine Scalia is back on the job after the 45-year old
hot dog vendor got busted for prostitution after allegedly
selling more than frankfurters from her Long Island cart.

But Scalia insists she actually wasn’t selling sex. The
former topless dancer tells 97.3 KIRO FM’s Dori Monson she
was merely offering to strip and lap dance, but she just
happened to offer her services to an undercover cop.

“I told him just topless and lap dance like you would see
in a topless bar. I gave him a topless lapdance then he
wanted more,” said Scalia as Dori cut her off before she
could actually describe what constituted “more.”

“I said ‘I don’t do that’ and the next thing I know the
cuffs are on me and I was being charged with
prostitution.”

Scalia told Dori she pleaded guilty to prostitution just
to get out of jail. She agreed to seven days and a $200
fine.

“They do not have me on tape saying anything. They have
no evidence,” she insisted.

The mother of four says she doesn’t see what all the fuss
is about.

“I was merely doing it for fun to make a hundred bucks not
to be handcuffed and thrown in jail.”

Scalia admits business isn’t exactly booming since she’s a
bit past her prime, and she insists the cop was the first
one who took her up on her offer for stripping since she
opened the stand.

And she says despite her legal problems, she’s gladly
embracing her new moniker if that’s what it takes to bring
in more business.

“Everyone likes the story I’m just trying to move more
wieners,” Scalia said.
