The Seattle Department of Transportation just gave the city the biggest middle finger they’ve ever given this week.

SDOT went to the busiest intersection on Capitol Hill and closed it down, during the middle of the day, and put in a life size Scrabble game.

SDOT isn’t a department of transportation; it is the opposite and this sickness is spreading throughout the state. The disregard this area has for people simple trying to get around and earn a living is beyond me.

I cannot believe that we have to make this point to SDOT – roads are for driving on!

It’s a middle finger to commuters. And this is where diversity matters because there is no diversity within our own city government. Was there no one at SDOT that stood up and said this isn’t the best idea because people have to get to work?
