The Seattle Police Department (SPD) responded to three separate armed robberies early Friday morning, ranging from West Seattle to Beacon Hill.

SPD believes the first two armed robberies were likely carried out by the same suspect, due to the close proximity and timeframe, though the third robbery’s connection has yet to be confirmed, according to KIRO 7.

Armed robbery near high school kicks off Seattle crime spree

The first robbery took place at 12:51 a.m. along S.W. Holden Street near Chief Sealth International High School. The suspect allegedly walked into the location wearing all black and claimed they were armed with a gun.

The suspect told the clerk to give them money from the store, and the clerk complied. SPD said that no gun was seen, only implied. Officers then searched the area but failed to locate a suspect.

Armed suspect strikes Admiral Way store minutes later

Four minutes later, at 12:56 a.m., reports of a robbery along S.W. Admiral Way in West Seattle were submitted. The suspect allegedly entered the store, brandished a handgun, and told the clerk to give them money.

The clerk complied with the commands, and the suspect fled on foot, traveling northbound. The suspect was described as a Black male wearing all black clothing, according to SPD.

Two armed teens hit Beacon Hill business with handguns

At 1:15 a.m., 911 received a report of a robbery along Beacon Avenue S. in Beacon Hill. Two men in their late teens to early 20s allegedly entered a business, armed with handguns.

The suspects demanded any available cash and were able to grab the entire cash register before fleeing the scene. Both suspects were described as men wearing dark colored clothing.

The King County Sheriff’s Office responded with a K9 unit to track the suspects. The tracking efforts ended abruptly a few blocks away from the scene, likely due to the suspect’s access to a vehicle, according to SPD.
