Shut It Down, America: Fanny Packs

I can’t believe I’m calling out the Wall Street Journal for the second day in a row (a dishonor only previously bestowed on the Style section of the NYTimes), but Shut it down, America.

According to this morning’s edition, “Fanny packs are making a comeback” and here’s their picture to prove it:

I lived through fanny packs the first time around. Yes, I understand how handy they are, but it didn’t matter. I’m still not adding bulk to my belly section so that I don’t have to carry a purse. I don’t care how bedazzled the pack.

So keep trying fashion designers of America. Because apparently the Wall Street Journal is more than willing to back you up.
