I’m going to say, flat out, that I’m against Steven Mnuchin as Secretary of the Treasury. If Obama had nominated this man, we — Conservatives — would all be against him.

But Mnuchin has been nominated for the appointment by President-elect Donald Trump.

The growing reputation of Trump appointment Steve Bannon

Remember when Obama bailed out GM without constitutional authority?

Now, Trump and Pence are doing something similar with Carrier, albeit on a far smaller scale. Trump doesn’t have the authority to give this tax break to Carrier. And I’m not happy with a system where the president is “deal maker in chief”.

And you can’t drain the swamp without getting rid of these kinds of deals and cronyism.

Steven Mnuchin fits right into this system. He was a principal in One West Bank. He created the bank after the 2008 collapse. His financial partner was George Soros. They built their bank out of a ruined, failed one. They asked the government to bail them out and they foreclosed on loans on around 36,000 homes.

One of the homes was foreclosed on for a .27 cents payment error!

The FDIC paid them $1.2 billion dollars for the foreclosures. They then sold the company for $3.4 billion dollars. That is the very definition of crony capitalism done by a Goldman Sachs type executive who helps himself to your money.

These are not the kind of people we need in the Trump cabinet.
