Street preacher assaulted by ‘Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompas’

Oct 8, 2018, 2:27 PM

Anthony preaches his version of the gospel on college campuses all over. His recent trip to the University of Washington campus ended with him being accused of ‘assaulting a pregnant woman.’

A video posted by the UW College Republicans shows Anthony and a woman tug-of-war-ing for a sign and then the woman falling over. The video then picks up a man with a top hat and a British accent screaming profanities at Anthony, alleging the woman was pregnant.

Anthony joined The Todd Herman Show Friday to explain his side of the story.

“I go to college campuses and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ,” Anthony said. “I’ve preached at UW before. This time, I was preaching and next thing you know, someone hit me from behind.”

Anthony said a guy covering his face with a bandana then grabbed his painter’s pole connected to one of his signs and ran off.

“I chase him, he drops the pole, I grab it and come back to the place I was preaching and a girl has my sign,” Anthony said. “I rip it out of her hand and she dramatically falls to the ground. Next thing I know, I have Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompas all over my case saying I assaulted a pregnant girl.”

Anthony was referring to the guy in the top hat. The Todd Herman Show reached out to the woman in the video for comment, but she declined to make a statement.

“It was pretty much staged, they were just trying to shut me down through violence,” Anthony said. “They wanted to claim that I was assaulting a pregnant girl.”

Anthony said he is not done preaching and will stand his ground. Todd opines this is just another example of madness at the leftist University of Washington.
