What a week in Seattle! First we find out that Sound Transit truly is a criminal conspiracy. Now this – the worker scheduling law.

This Seattle City Council has zero ability to run a city. There was report commissioned by Mayor Ed Murray that said that the current city council can’t even schedule their own employees, particularly the scheduling for police officers.

‘Heck yeah’ Seattle council just passed a worker scheduling law

And now this city council is going to tell private companies how to schedule their employees!

You won’t be able to have someone open, as well as close. If you cut someone’s hours because there is no one coming in the door you have to pay them anyway. And if more hours become available, you have to hire a new person, you can’t give the hours to one of your loyal employees.

When you tie the hands of businesses like this, businesses will leave Seattle. This is not economic security; the Seattle City Council is making employees a liability. This will lead to more and more automation so owners don’t have to deal with all the rules around a real person.

This is the same way “The Sopranos” worked — the well-loved HBO series. Insanity is pressed upon businesses. Then someone from big labor will call and force them to join the unions.

This is just about the of shifting power. Away from you!
