What’s it like getting shot nine times?

About a month ago, Baron Li was shot nine times while walking from the Lakemont apartments in Overlake to his car to leave for work. The father of three said he was shot two or three times before realizing he was being shot at and the gunman was bearing down on him.
Li said he ran to his car for cover, but the suspect continued walking towards him while emptying a clip. Li said many of the nine wounds have already healed up almost entirely except for some small scabs. However, two bullets shattered his right arm. He was also shot in both legs, his left hip, and his chest.
Li’s friends started a GoFundMe page to help with medical costs and the care of his kids, one of whom is special needs.
This is an ongoing investigation and Bellevue Police have requested Li not talk about the suspect. Listen to his interview on KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson Show:
