So you’ve probably heard by now that if you live in Washington state, you’re going to pay to have nurses watch people shoot heroin into their arms.
Brad Finegood with King County’s Behavioral Health and Recovery Department says you can’t arrest you’re way out of a health problem; that we wouldn’t arrest overweight people to fight obesity.
So let me get this straight, we can’t arrest the problem away, so we need to help people get high?
A deputy sheriff in one of our local counties, who listens to the show, wrote us to say “I’ve never arrested a fatty for breaking into homes to steal food. But I’ve arrested many drug addicts for burglary, theft, etc.”
So we can’t arrest our way out of public health crisis but we can pay and nurse our way out of it? By giving addicts housing and paying nurses, not to get them off the drug, but watch them shoot up?
I could do a better job in three days than these people that are in charge of public health. Who couldn’t do a better job than this?
The heroin addicts that are going to move to Seattle, and the resulting break-ins and robberies that will increase in our city — rests squarely on the shoulders of the people who voted these committed leftists into office.
