What should drug education look like for students in the 21st century?

After two Bellevue students overdosed off-campus, parents are asking the school district to step up its efforts on drug education. A retired DEA agent, who now teaches drug prevention classes, said drug education needs to be mandatory, and needs to be held during school hours.

Gee Scott, Travis Mayfield, Andrew Lanier, and Joe Wallace reflect on what their drug education looked like at that age.

“When it comes to the dangers of fentanyl, schools are often reluctant to address the problem,” Gee said on KIRO Newsradio.
