A King County court will mail 5,000 jury notices Friday. A judge is preparing for a trial for the murders of six family members in Carnation.
Joseph McEnroe and Michelle Anderson were back in King County Superior Court Thursday to prepare for jury selection in McEnroe’s trial on six counts of aggravated murder. Both are charged in the murders of Anderson’s family on Christmas Eve 2007.
KOMO News reports that trial preparation costs are now almost $5 million, including $2 million for each defendant in the possible death penalty case.
McEnroe’s attorney claims he’s offered to plead guilty but the prosecutor refuses to take the death penalty off the table for the February trial.
