Dozens of flights at Sea-Tac Airport have already been canceled ahead of Thursday’s expected snow, KIRO Radio reports.

At least 26 incoming flights have been scrapped by multiple airlines, including Alaska, American, and others. Sixteen outgoing flights have been canceled throughout the day, also from American, Alaska and other airlines.

The National Weather Service says the Puget Sound region will likely get snow this evening. The first area to be hit will be Olympia and the South Sound around 5-7 p.m. The storm is expected to move north from there.

The Weather Service says there is up to an 80 percent chance of snow at Sea-Tac today. Daytime snow accumulation will be less than half an inch. Snow will likely fall before 10 p.m. It will then become a rain/snow mix. An accumulation of up to 3 inches is possible.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday for Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, and Everett.

This is the second time this week that flights have been canceled due to the winter weather. More than 80 flights were canceled earlier this week due to icy conditions.
