Trump voters may not care what the Russia investigation finds.

ROSS: Breastfeeding haters never apologize

But according to Dale Moore, who lobbies for the American Farm Bureau Federation, his supporters in farm country do care about the immigration crackdown, which has forced farmers to plow under crops for lack of labor, even though they have tried hiring US citizens.

“People will show up the first day. The second day it’s maybe 10-15 percent of the first day. By the third day, you may have one or two people show up.”

And then on top of that you have the collateral damage from the trade war.

“Soy beans from the first of May until here just a few weeks ago had dropped over two dollars per bushel.”

And I know a lot of you will say, Dave, farm country was obsessed with Trump big time. So let them own it.

But for me, if it comes down to a choice between food and steel, vote for the food.

In an effort to push soybean prices back up, I’m starting a fictitious organization called Trump-Obsessed Farmers United, or TOFU, to help them stay afloat regardless of their politics.

I want all of us to eat one tofu side dish every day.

I know just the word “tofu” triggers convulsions in some of you, but remember, its all about the sauce.

I would never try to put lipstick on a pig, but I will put sauce on pork ribs. And if it works for pork, it should work for tofu.

Ross: Are we killing car culture? Or is car culture killing the US?

I don’t think the question is whether we're going to "kill" our car culture. The real question is can we stop our car culture from killing the U.S.?
