While there is no new evidence so far about Brett Kavanaugh’s alleged assault, several former classmates have come forward offering to corroborate his brewski bromance. They claim that back in the day, pretty much every Bud was for him.

But President Trump was having none of it. When reporters pressed him on the topic Monday, Trump had what I can only describe as a biblical moment. He scanned the faces in the Rose Garden and dared them to cast the first stone, on the subject of being stoned.
“And there are bad reports on everybody in here, most of the people sitting down, except for Mike Pence of course,” he said.
And then he took it up a notch.
“I tell you what, I happen to know some United States senators, one who is on the other side who is pretty aggressive,” Trump said. “I’ve seen that person in very, very bad situations, somewhat compromising.”
I’m hearing this, and I can just feel the news director at FOX News grabbing his mallet to ring the news alert chime — bing!
And then came the question as one reporter asked: “Could you tell us who and exactly what situation you have seen them in?”
“No, no, I think I’ll save it for a book like everybody else,” Trump replied. “I’m not giving it to you.”
So close. But there’s always tomorrow.
