Ross: Special Counsel Robert Mueller speaks up … take two!

Jul 25, 2019, 5:50 AM | Updated: 9:26 am

Robert Mueller understood that the reason for his congressional testimony Wednesday was to provide Democrats a viral video version of his book. He warned them it would not be compelling TV.

But give the Democrats credit. They tried so hard to give him something to swing at.

QUESTION: “Now director Mueller, can you explain in plain terms what that finding means so the American people can understand it?”

MULLER:” Well uh, the finding indicates that … the president was not exculpated…”

Exculpated! A word that everyone uses … exactly never.

And it wasn’t just the Democrats. The Republicans tried their best to get him to hit one to the opposite field.

Trump says he tried to stop the chanting

QUESTION:  Your report does not recommend impeachment, does it?

MUELLER:  I’m not going to talk about recommendations.

QUESTION:  It does not conclude that impeachment would be appropriate here?

MUELLER:  I am not going to talk about that issue.

QUESTION:  That’s one of the many things you wouldn’t talk about today…

And scene!

Robert Mueller is a veteran, former Marine, a great public servant, a patriotic American.

But viral he is not. And my guess is that’s exactly what he wanted.

Ross: Are we killing car culture? Or is car culture killing the US?

I don’t think the question is whether we're going to "kill" our car culture. The real question is can we stop our car culture from killing the U.S.?
