Rachel Belle...

While Rachel Belle is leaving KIRO Newsradio, you can still listen to her Your Last Meal podcast wherever you listen to podcasts. (Rachel Belle)

(Rachel Belle)

After 20 years in news radio, I’m leaving my post at KIRO Newsradio to focus on making my podcast “Your Last Meal” full-time! And to wedge my way into the outdoors and food media space (campfire cooking, hiking snacks and van cooking!) with a venture I’m calling Snacky Trails.

Long story short: I’m a business lady now, with shoulder pads, a briefcase, an LLC and a dream!

I am incredibly grateful for all the opportunities KIRO has given me. I’ve learned from some of the best broadcasters in the country, made lifelong friends, and was always encouraged and allowed to be completely myself, a privilege not everyone enjoys in their workspace. I’ve interviewed thousands of people, from a cat psychic to Marshawn Lynch, and maybe even YOU!

I fell in love with newsrooms because of the people. When I started at KIRO in 2005, I felt right at home amongst the weirdos, pranksters and misfits, who also happened to be some of the smartest, most cultured, artsy, well-traveled, well-read, funny and interesting people I had ever met. But it’s time for this weirdo to move on!

While I’m no longer on air, let’s stay in touch!

Subscribe to the dang podcast already, GEEZ! And leave a review, if you’d be so kind. It’s a free way to help support the show.

Thanks for all your love and support over the years!
