3 more cars damaged by concrete thrown onto Seattle freeway

In the latest in a rash of recent incidents involving debris thrown at cars on Seattle-area freeways, three more vehicles were damaged along I-90 near the Mount Baker Tunnel on Tuesday morning.
Mistaken arrest made for man suspected of throwing rocks onto freeway
The three vehicles were each hit by concrete thrown onto the freeway just before 5:30 a.m., according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson. There were no reported injuries.
Authorities were unable to identify a suspect after a search of the area by Seattle police and state troopers “turned up nothing,” Johnson told KIRO Radio.
This comes after State Patrol arrested a 35-year-old man on Monday morning around 12:30 a.m. for throwing concrete at cars on I-5 through Federal Way. In that incident, one driver received minor injuries when a chunk of concrete cracked his windshield and hit him in the shoulder. Pieces of glass left minor cuts to his face and arm.
At least two people were injured in a separate June 3 incident when someone threw rocks or other debris onto I-90. In late June, SPD arrested a suspect seen throwing rocks onto I-5 near the Convention Center.

So far this year, there have been over 80 reports of debris being thrown onto traffic in that area, including one instance where a vehicle took $15,000 in damage from a Lime electric scooter thrown onto the roadway from the I-5 overpass in downtown Seattle. Many of these incidents have been reported near Seattle’s Mount Baker Tunnel and Rainier Avenue exits.
Throwing objects at cars is a crime ranging from a misdemeanor offense to felony assault if it results in severe injuries.
