Like KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson, Fox Business analyst Lou Dobbs started his career with KING 5 in Seattle. The pair met up Monday at the Republican National Convention, with Dobbs extolling the virtues of a Donald Trump presidency.
Dobbs, a Fox Business anchor who has long been a proponent of closing America’s borders, said that Trump’s promise of a wall being built between the US and Mexico will happen and that Mexico will “pay for it one way or another.” He said the “Never Trumps” are a lost cause, walking around the RNC “like zombies.” He also had strong words for Barack Obama’s tenure as President.

“Looking at the consequence of every one of his policies,” he said. “Wouldn’t you rather be a radical Islamist than working somewhere in security for this country? Everything he does benefits, it seems, the people who mean us the most harm.”
Dori then asked Dobbs if he had any words for the people of Seattle who helped launch his career.
“I want to say, ‘love you;’ thanks so much for launching my career, as you put it,” he said. “But you’re going to have a lot to account for for all of the people who don’t like me.”
To that, Dori noted that Dobbs might not get too much love reciprocated from the liberal residents of Seattle considering his comments about Obama and Trump.
“But you know what, in point of fact, they will,” he said. “Because once Donald Trump gets this country straightened out, that love is going to come back 10-fold to me from Seattle.”
