Unconfirmed threat forces Olivia Park Elementary into lockdown

10:36 a.m. update:

Olivia Park Elementary received the all-clear to lift a lockdown from Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies, according to Katie Pence, Olivia Park Elementary Principal.

Law enforcement performed a sweep of the campus and did not identify a threat. A review of security footage found that an unknown juvenile walked through the campus but did not enter any of the school buildings.

9:15 a.m.

Olivia Park Elementary School in Everett is on lockdown.

Parents have received texts saying “do not come to school. It’s shut down. Do not call the office.”

Thursday morning, approximately 15 police vehicles from different agencies, including Seattle Police, were seen speeding north on I-5 into Snohomish County.
