bridge...

(KIRO 7)

(KIRO 7)

I can’t tell you how happy I will be when the West Seattle Bridge is finally reopened. And I don’t even live there!

Nearly 900 days into its closure, the West Seattle Bridge’s reopening date becomes official

But it makes me want to sing. So, the heck with today’s commentary – let’s just break out the big hair and the bell bottoms:

We’ve been stuck on I-5 since I don’t know when

Wond’rin when that (BLEEP) bridge will be open again.

It’s been two years – will we ever learn?

Isn’t it clear, that unless you have strong concrete

Any bridge will be incomplete?

Just one crack and they will close the thing down

Then we’re back to driving all over town, Oh-oh-oh-oh

West Seattle

We are back again

Be brave, this is now or never.

West Seattle

Please don’t crack again

This bridge– has to last forever.

Bridges are so much better

When they can stick together.

My, my, I just cannot wait to go…

West Seattle, how I miss you so

This Bridge has to last forever!

No more detours – that is, unless it snows…

Ha ha, I’m just being clever.

West Seattle– it’s been really rocky

Let’s try – keepin’ it together.

No more crackin’ – unless we’re talking hockey

This bridge has to last forever.

With all your cables tightened

We’re only half as frightened.

Why why — did we ever let you go?

West Seattle we may never know…

Stay strong!

You’ll be fine until it snows.

Ross: Nobody in D.C. is actually going to stop the debt crisis

Dave Ross

Ross: Trillions in taxes are being stolen by the wealthy

I stress this is money that could be collected without raising general tax rates. It’s already owed. It’s been shoplifted from the treasury.
