WSU police sergeant resigns over accusations of sexual misconduct

A Washington State University (WSU) police sergeant accused of sexual misconduct while on duty has resigned.

According to KXLY-TV, Police Sergeant Matt Kuhrt submitted his resignation, effective Tuesday.

3 deadly crashes in 10 hours, as DUI arrests double

Officials said a university investigation found he had engaged in predatory grooming behavior while also making sexually explicit comments and nonconsensual physical contact with coworkers.

The investigation also found he engaged in sexual activities while on duty.

In August, three members of WSU Police’s command staff retired before they were to be disciplined for mishandling the sergeant’s sexual misconduct allegations.
