Clinton’s cover is blown, while Trump remains under cover

Sep 12, 2016, 8:04 AM | Updated: 11:04 am

Now we know what Hillary Clinton has been hiding — pneumonia.

Somebody asked the question on CNN “why didn’t she just take time off when she was diagnosed?” My wife, who was watching with me, piped up immediately: “She couldn’t afford to look weak. She’s a woman.”

Let’s blame Putin for Hillary Clinton’s coughing fit

But whatever the reason, the websites that warned she was too sick to serve as president can claim vindication. And many are already wondering how many people she may have infected, or whether it really is pneumonia or just another cover-up.

And there was also more information about Donald Trump’s taxes and what he may be hiding. Not medical information, but his taxpaying habits.

It’s reported in a new book called “The Making of Donald Trump.” It was written by former New York Times reporter David Cay Johnston, whose specialty is tax policy and tax fraud. Johnston argues that tax rules are written to favor real estate investors like Donald Trump. It turns out that Donald Trump’s taxes are an issue no one is talking about.

“If Donald is going to sue me, he is going to sue me,” Johnston said.

“There is good reason to believe, because  of those rules, that Donald probably has paid no income taxes, for maybe a couple of years — a little bit — since 1978,” he said.

That’s right — 1978! Fortunately for Mr. Trump, except for CSPAN, American networks aren’t interested in reporting this revelation.

“I have been on the national broadcast networks in Australia, Canada, Britain, France, Germany — repeatedly,” Johnston said. “I haven’t been on a single US broadcast network — none of the Sunday morning talk shows.”

And he predicts, Americans are never going to see returns from Donald Trump’s taxes.

“Not a chance; it is never going to happen,” he said.

And now that pneumonia is the only thing anyone cares about, it probably won’t matter anyway.
