Ross: Who is really behind the caravan headed to the US?

Is this caravan of migrants headed north from Honduras a genuine grass roots movement, or part of some larger plan? The vice president called Honduras to get answers, and he got one.
Vice President Mike Pence says that Venezuelan leftists have financed the whole thing. Venezuela leftists financed it? Really? Forbes just reported that the annual inflation rate in Venezuela is about 60,000%. A Venezuelan leftist couldn’t finance a stick of gum.
But President Trump thinks maybe Venezuela had help.
“And the Democrats, maybe,” Trump said Tuesday. “And the Democrats.”
Democrats. Actually, a Harvard poll over the summer did find that 53 percent of Democrats said people who make it across the border illegally should be allowed to stay (83 percent of Republicans said they should be sent home).
But even Democrats who believe that must know that a caravan is only going to make the Republicans dig in deeper.
Whoever is pushing this cause needs to auto-tune it to the president’s ego. So how about this. Suppose all the migrants start wearing “Make America Great” hats. That is why they’re coming – they love America as created by Donald Trump! And they are risking everything to be part of it.
It might bring us all together — 7,000 migrants wearing the red hats? Trump would feel a lot better about the caravan; Democrats would feel better about the hats.
