A five-vehicle collision in Federal Way left three people with life-threatening injuries on Monday.

A black Dodge Challenger traveling at a “very high rate of speed” crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with two vehicles turning left from the northbound I-5 off-ramp at South 320th Street, according to the Federal Way Police Department.

The Challenger then collided with two other vehicles waiting at an intersection.

Three drivers were transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

One of the vehicles was carrying an infant and toddler. They were evaluated at the scene and accompanied their mother to Harborview.

The driver of the Challenger is suspected of erratic driving.
