Did you see the video of the two-year old who crawled onto the luggage belt at the Atlanta airport. His Mom was terrified.

“I’m just putting in like a plane ticket and I told him to stay right there, and then he turns around and I’m trying to go after him, next thing you know he’s on the luggage, and I see him going down,” she told the media.

The video showed him disappearing behind those rubber fingers into the bowels of  the airport, he’s trying desperately to crawl upstream, but he’s sucked through the scanners and within five minutes he’s down in the secured baggage area.

The shock on the faces of the TSA people when they see this kid! But they were great. They grabbed him off he belt, brought the mom down, and tried to reassure her.

Did a conspiracy contribute to the deadly 737 Max crashes?

“Will he be OK?” she asked them.

“He’ll be fine,” a TSA agent told her while the kid cried.

The medics got there quickly, and he’ll probably go home with nothing more than a cast and a story to tell someday.

Happy ending.

I have just one concern, however.

Here it is, summer travel season with long security lines and everyone is desperate for ways to get people to the gate more quickly.

This is going to give the airlines ideas. They’re looking at this and they’re thinking, “You know, the kid got through security in five minutes…”

So get ready. One day, you’ll buy your ticket, lie down on the belt with your luggage, they’ll put a tag on your wrist, give you an Ambien, and you wake up at your destination.

Hopefully, with both kidneys.
