Since Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, many neighborhoods and businesses around Seattle are getting in on the trick-or-treating action early and closing streets.

Upper Queen Anne
The neighborhood’s annual trick-or-treat festival is put on by the Upper Queen Anne Merchants Association.

Admiral District – West Seattle
Look for the Halloween posters at participating businesses.

Magnolia
Costumed kids can trick-or-treat at Magnolia Village. This is a great option for little pumpkins who don’t want to walk very far or little ones who are new to the trick-or-treating scene.

University Village
Take a stroll through U Village where participating merchants will be passing out candy to costumed kiddos on Oct. 31. Once your little monsters are all sugared out, head over to the covered kids play area near Kid’s Club and let them burn off some Halloween energy.

Fremont
Grab your buckets (or pillowcases!) and head to Fremont for this annual trick-or-treat extravaganza. This year, over 150 Fremont businesses will be handing out candy to kiddos in costume and accompanied by adults. This trip to The Center of the Universe will surely be one to remember! Capitol Hill
Start with some musical performances, add in a costume parade, carnival games and plenty of treats from Broadway Avenue’s merchants, and you’ve got the perfect way to celebrate Halloween. Hilloween! Road closures will be on 16th Avenue.

Halloween Boo Bash – Northgate Mall
The Northgate Mall is inviting lil’ ghouls and goblins (ages 0-12) to their annual Halloween Boo Bash.

Safe Halloween at Country Village Shops
Costumed kids will have a fun and safe trick-or-treating experience at Country Village Shops. The businesses on Main St. in downtown Bothell will continue the trick-or-treating fun from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Edmonds
There will be plenty of treats (and maybe a few tricks!) for costumed kids from participating merchants in downtown Edmonds. Be sure to enter the costume contest. This year, there will be categories for kids, adults and pets.
Road closures: The downtown streets of Edmonds will be closed to cars during the event.
Downtown Edmonds – Around the fountain

The Landing – Renton
Wear your costume to The Landing and look for the participating merchants with balloon bouquets. Get your picture taken with Seattle Seahawks’ BOOM for $2 and support the C.A.S.T. for Kids foundation.

This is an early one starting at 2 p.m Kids can seek out Halloween treats from participating merchants. There will also be games and prizes, skating rink, and music.
