That’s enough! No more Miss Nice Lady!

A Seattle...

A Seattle

She has become the latest viral video sensation.

“Do I have spaghetti? Is it on the menu? No? That’s because we don’t have it!” Cherry the waitress snidely tells a customer.

She’s a severe-looking Chicago waitress who wears black rim glasses and a red tiger lily in her hair. A customer caught her on video insulting everybody at her table including this nice old grandpa.

“You know what grandpa, if I was nice to you, I’d get canned, OK?” she said. “If you want good service, you can go somewhere else. I know Hooters is probably more your speed.”

Some online commenters were incensed, but most caught on that this is her shtick. In fact, Cherry’s real name is Kryssie Ridolfi and Ed Debevic’s Retro Diner has been sassing customers since 1984.

“They totally understood the concept. They played with me from the minute they walked in to the minute they left, and it was a total party,” Ridolfi told the press.

So it’s an act. And she’s really good, but it’s not real. So why would this video be heading to five million views in 11 days?

I think it’s because people wish it was real.

I think people look around at this anti-bullying, give-a trophy-to-everybody, don’t-be-insensitive-to-anybody, tiptoeing-on-eggshells society, and they say, “Enough.”

Could we all stop trying so hard to be nice? Could somebody please just say what they’re really thinking?

Right? Isn’t that what people want? I know exactly whose press secretary Cherry could be. Can you guess who?

It’s the guy who Trumps all media.

“Do you want a nice person? We got too many nice people,” he has been known to say.

Right? She’s the perfect fit!

She could be Secretary of State.
