Seattle McDonald’s owner donates $20,000 to shooting victims

Following the recent shooting in downtown Seattle, which left one woman dead and seven others injured, the owner operator of McDonald’s on Third Avenue and Pine Street has announced that he will donate $20,000 to the victims.

David Santillanes’ donation is intended to help offset medical and other expenses incurred by the victims as a result of the shooting. The total will be divided evenly between the seven injured victims.
“As a McDonald’s operator and owner of a business in downtown Seattle, it is critical we come together as a community to support individuals during distressing times and help in any way we can,” Santillanes said in a news release.
On Saturday, Feb. 1, two of three suspects from the Seattle shooting were arrested in Las Vegas, according to Seattle police. The third suspect, 21-year-old Jamel Jackson, was arrested on the night of the shooting.
Two suspects in downtown Seattle shooting arrested
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested Marquise Tolbert and William Tolliver together, and booked them into jail in Clark County, Nevada. Tolbert and Tolliver have a combined total of 65 arrests.
The Seattle Times reported on Saturday that most people injured in the shooting have been released from the hospital.
