Boeing’s Dreamliner lands at Museum of Flight

Boeing’s third Dreamliner will go on permanent display at the Museum of Flight at the end of the month.
ZA003, which flew to 23 countries around the world to promote the launch of the airplane, has found a home at the museum.
Current and former Boeing employees will be able to tour the plane and the museum for free this weekend (Nov. 8-9). The plane, and the exhibit with it, will open to the public in about three weeks.
“We’re going to be the first museum in the world to have one (787) open to the public,” said museum spokesperson Mike Bush.
Visitors will be able to go inside the plane and take pictures of the interior. Bush said the plane was donated by Boeing.
“It’s going to walk people through the history of the program and they’re going to see how the plane was built, some of the influential people that had a part in it, and the people who flew it,” Bush said.
There will be a dedication ceremony at the museum at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The plane will be parked in the museum’s east parking lot.
