Ross: Why Nancy Pelosi isn’t actually to blame for hair salon fiasco

Nancy Pelosi had her hair done in San Francisco on Monday. Not only was that one day before hair salons were officially allowed to reopen in the city, but the security video clearly showed her indoors with no mask and wet hair, when the rules clearly state you must be outdoors, with a mask, and any hair-washing is forbidden.

That got the attention of America’s number one COVID enforcer, President Donald Trump:

Crazy Nancy Pelosi is being decimated for having a beauty parlor opened, when all others are closed, and for not wearing a Mask – despite constantly lecturing everyone else. We will almost certainly take back the House, and send Nancy packing!

Pelosi said it was her hairdresser – an independent contractor – who invited her into the salon, and so she assumed it was allowed. But when the salon owner found out, she sent the security video to Fox News to get Pelosi in trouble for breaking the rules.

Except it wasn’t Pelosi who broke the rules because the city code clearly says that enforcement of COVID rules is up to the owner of the business.

I quote: “Any non-compliant Covered Personal Service Provider is subject to immediate closure and fines.”

So if anyone’s in trouble here, it’s the hairdresser, and possibly the salon owner who turned in the video. And seeing how the President hammered Pelosi for getting special treatment, I can only imagine how upset he’s going to be when he finds out who let it happen.
