Richard Sherman’s dad isn’t shy about letting people know his son is the Seahawks’ standout. And now he’s offering his custom ride emblazoned with his son’s likeness in a raffle to help raise money for Richard’s foundation, Blanket Coverage.
You can’t miss Kevin Sherman’s 2003 Chevy Silverado SS. It’s fully customized with pictures of Sherman and the Seahawks logo alongside the truck bed. It also has flashy 26-inch Asanti rims.
Kevin’s other ride is a City of Los Angeles garbage truck, which he’s driven for over 25 years. He continues getting up every day at 3:45 a.m. to hit the streets even after his son’s Super Bowl success.
While Kevin has said in numerous interviews he plans to keep working because he doesn’t want Richard to have to take care of him, the Shermans aren’t saying whether Richard got his dad a new set of wheels.
The tickets are going for $2 each. The drawing for the raffle will be held at Richard’s second annual celebrity softball game Sunday, July 20 at Safeco Field. Along with Kevin’s truck, the winner also gets a signed Sherman jersey.
