The Republican Party is about to become a subsidiary of the Trump Organization

We are now going to see two very different types of party unity.

On the Democratic side, it’s pretty clear how Hillary Clinton intends to create party unity. She’s going to sound more like Bernie Sanders.

“So let there be no doubt if you cheat your employees, exploit consumers, pollute our environment, or rip off the taxpayers we’re going to hold you accountable,” Clinton announced.

But on the Republican side, you’re going to see something very different.

Donald Trump is not going to try to absorb the religious wing of the party by going all fundamentalist. Because he can’t pull it off, he’s going to build a whole new Republican party made up of anyone willing to vote for Trump.

“The Republican party has become more dynamic, it’s become more diverse,” Trump said. “We’re taking from the Democrats, we’re taking from the independents. We have a lot more people.”

He doesn’t bother with the traditional political manifesto, he’s a businessman who gives the customers what they want. And he’s blazing a trail for a whole new class of candidates recruited from the 1 percent. No need to run for mayor or governor first. No need to pay your dues slogging through Congressional committee meetings. Make a few billion dollars, establish yourself as a national brand and then, instead of trying to start a third party, take over an existing party!

And come July, the Republican Party will be a wholly owned subsidiary of the Trump Organization. And it will be a complete buyout.

He will owe nothing to anyone else. Until this week he had zero endorsements from members of Congress. He owes nothing to the usual Republican donors. If he owes anybody, it’s the geniuses who thought they were designing a primary process that would keep Trump out, but which instead turned out to be a red carpet.
