Seattle Police officers broke up a brawl between dozens of teens near the West Seattle Saturday night.

“As we’re arriving in the area, officers estimated it to be around 30 teenagers. They, upon seeing the police dispersed quickly and fled the area,” said Detective Jeff Kappel.

Kapel said as police arrived there were reports of a gun shot.

Police found shell casings nearby and two very intoxicated men. They said a group of men in black clothing and ski masks had gotten out of a car and wanted to fight them.

According to police, one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot it into the air, which was when the big group scattered.

KIRO Radio’s Jillian Raftery contributed to this report.
