Seattle police are hoping the public can help identify a man wanted for a sexual assault that happened last month in Belltown.

Police say a woman was walking near 2nd Avenue and Clay Street just after 1:00 am on Saturday, January 18th when she was attacked by an unknown male who sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video before the attack. He’s described as a Hispanic male, mid 20′s to early 30′s, with short hair. He is approximately 5′ 8″ tall and a stocky build. He was wearing a dark coat, sweatshirt, and long baggy shorts.

Police are asking for anyone who might have seen something or has information to contact the Sexual Assault Unit at (206) 684-5575.
