WSDOT traffic camera shows trucks headed to the Port of Seattle backed up on NB I-5.

It was another busy day for the Port of Seattle, which had trucks stacking up on Northbound I-5 early Friday morning.

The major back-up was where I-5 approaches the West Seattle Bridge, causing traffic to be slow from the middle of Boeing Field to downtown Seattle. KIRO Radio’s Chris Sullivan reported that the trucks trying to get to the Port of Seattle had been essentially blocking the right lanes.

The Washington State Department of Transportation’s traffic map showed the area changing between “stop and go” and “heavy” traffic levels, but as of 9:10 a.m., traffic appears to be moving again. Sullivan had reported that Federal Way to Seattle was running at 45 minutes, with 30 of those minutes due to the trucks on NB I-5.
