An online campaign to help the #ManInTree make bail and help pay for legal costs may have been live for less time than the man spent up in the 90-foot sequoia.
A campaign to help Cody Lee Miller, aka #ManInTree, make bail was created on YouCaring. The campaign’s goal was set to $50,000; the same as the man’s bail for King County Jail. The original link to the campaign, however, no longer works and it seems the page was removed.

The man who refused to leave a tree in Seattle for more than 24 hours and was later arrested for third-degree assault and malicious mischief has some support on the outside.
“Guys, Man in Tree needs our help … I am starting this crowdfunding campaign to help alleviate some of Man in Tree’s legal costs,” the campaign’s description read before it was removed. “His bail is set at $50,000 dollars and I think this is an easily obtainable goal. A local icon like this should not have to spend another day locked up in a cell, he should be where he belongs. In a tree.”
The effort had not made any money as of 11:30 a.m.
