Police investigating woman’s body found on Burke Gilman Trail in Seattle

Police say a woman’s body has been found along the Burke Gilman Trail in Seattle.
The body was found early Friday along a section of the trail near the Lake Washington Ship Canal.
“A passerby saw it and called 911,” says Seattle Police Detective Mark Jamieson.
Officers arrived and found a woman in her 20s with a gunshot wound.
“We have called out our detectives from the homicide unit and CSI and they are currently investigating,” says Jamieson.
Police believe the woman was not randomly targeted.
