Two people were shot on SB I-405 near Southcenter, Wednesday afternoon.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Cliff Pratt says calls started coming in to 911 around 4:40 p.m. to report gunshots on the freeway. The incident started when people in two cars began exchanging gang signs as they drove northbound on SR 167.
“What that means to us is they’re either known to each other or known to the gang lifestyle.”
Pratt says the two shooting victims called for help after arriving at a house in the 1300 block of S Pearl Street in Seattle on Beacon Hill.
The two men, age 23 and 24, were taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Pratt says an investigation is continuing.
Police are searching for a black Cadillac Escalade, but Pratt says they don’t have any suspects or a license plate number.
