A Pierce County couple has been busted following a graduation party kegger at their home.
Police arrested 32 kids mostly from Puyallup and Emerald Ridge High Schools for being minors in possession of alcohol at the party.
“The property just had a lot of beer cans, both full and half full, liquor bottles, and wine bottles,” says Gloria Averill with the Pierce County Patrol Intervention
Averill says first responders found one 18-year-old male unconscious and treated the homeowners’ daughter for alcohol poisoning after she was found unresponsive next to pools of vomit.
Ed Troyer with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says this was the biggest party patrol bust he’s seen in a long time.
“We discovered there were people in cars that were intoxicated, there was a keg in the garage. There were hard alcohol bottles strewn about the yard, red solo cups, beer coolers, three or four kids that were passed out,” he says.
The girl’s parents told police while being arrested she’d promised the party would be alcohol-free.
