A man riding a bicycle was killed in a collision with a semi-truck Wednesday morning in an industrial area south of downtown Seattle.
Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore says it happened shortly after 7 a.m. at East Marginal Way South and South Hanford Street. Moore says witnesses had started CPR before medics arrived, but the cyclist died of his injuries.
Seattle police report investigators are on the scene.
“At this point we don’t know exactly what happened,” says Renee Witt, with this Seattle Police Department. “Detectives are on scene investigating.”
The northbound lanes of East Marginal Way South and westbound lanes on South Hanford were shut down for the investigation.
