There were no winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing which means the jackpot is now up to $320 million.
Arlen Harris with Washington’s Lottery says with the jackpot is so high, people should forget that the odds aren’t in your favor.
“The odds of picking a perfect bracket in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament are 1 in 9.2 quintillion, and the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 175 million,” said Harris. “So the odds of winning this are much better than getting a perfect bracket.”
One person in Washington did win $10,000 in Wednesday’s drawing but the prize hasn’t been claimed. There were no million dollar winners so the pot grows.
The next Powerball drawing will take place this Saturday at 8 p.m.
