Sounder commuter train service was delayed Tuesday morning after a semi-truck collided with the a train near the Edmonds ferry terminal.
Passenger Marta Zabaruyla was on board. She was sitting near the front of the train and didn’t feel the impact.
“It was pretty minor. It was pretty much just a loud sound. No one really felt anything besides us coming to a pretty quick stop.”
A Sound Transit spokeswoman says a bus was sent to the scene to pick up train passengers with a second bus to follow.
No injuries were reported, but Sounder service in the area was delayed.
Community Transit was also diverting train passengers at Everett station and providing backup buses at the South Everett Park and Ride to cover overloads.
