Couple arrested in SeaTac also California murder suspects

Prosecutors in California could get first crack at charging an escaped felon and his wife, arrested for ramming a stolen car into police vehicles in SeaTac.
After Darnell Washington and his wife were arrested Wednesday, local authorities learned that the 24-year-old man had escaped from the San Bernardino County jail in August.
Over the weekend, detectives from the San Francisco area interviewed the couple in the King County Jail and named them suspects in the murder of retired school teacher Susie Ko on Oct. 5. They were arrested driving the 55-year-old woman’s car.
Washington and his 25-year-old wife Tania Washington are also suspected in a crime spree that included the shooting of a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy and a series of carjackings.
The couple is held on $3 million bail. King County Prosecutors will decide whether to file charges by Monday afternoon.
