Jul 27, 2012, 6:09 AM | Updated: 7:59 am

Police responding to a report of gunfire early Friday in Renton found a dead man in a bullet riddled car that caught fire.

At least 16 shots were fired about 1 a.m. The car, a Mini Cooper, may have been in a parking lot, but it rolled over an embankment with wheels spinning. As officers approached the car, it caught fire.

The man inside was apparently dead from the shooting.

Police believe two weapons may have been firing at the scene. Police have not determined whether the victim fired any shots.

KING 5 reports the victim, identified as a 26-year-old man from Renton, had survived a previous shooting in May.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
